This friend studied Christian history, and basically said Christians developed a new faith, but were very much in love with the Jewish god, so they stole large parts of Judaism and/or gradually incorporated them.

Were these the Christians who were raised Jewish themselves, or Christians who converted from European paganism or other religions?
