Yeah, the goal thing really helps. Doing dishes, showering, cleaning the floor, or getting enough sleep is a big deal if you're depressed. If it happens, pat yourself on the back and punch the air. Seriously. You are a mental-illness defeating badass.
I sort of walk around doing chores on automatic while I worry, so a lot of the time I don't realize how much I've accomplished. If you do that, you might try Chore Wars, it helps you keep track of what you've done every day in an amusing way, and you can look at your work when you're feeling bad about yourself. It's set up for housework but you could easily add school tasks.
But seriously, after washing a ton of tupperware I sing my praises to the cats. I HATE THAT TASK SO MUCH.
