Help! DW being buggy!
Ok so I'm trying to figure out how to get a cut to work and it's suuuuuuper annoying.
I wrote a really long post and then when I was done writing out stuff I tried to put it under a cut but no matter what I do, it only puts a small part of the text under a cut.
Is there a fix for this?

I've tried going into the HTML on the post and messing with it that way and it won't work. I've tried cutting all the text I want to put under the cut, then starting a new cut, and it just pastes exactly how it used to be. Do I have to re-type everything under a cut?
I've privated the entry for now because it's SO long that I don't wanna clutter up peoples reading pages and my own blog

[cut text="cut below"]
And then your text goes here.
If you want later text outside the cut (after the cut), then you do
[/cut]
But it shouldn't put things outside the cut after the cut unless you do that.

You should be able to just copy/paste the code from there, too.
There's also a note at the bottom about using the Rich Text editor.
(I am.... I have never learned how to use the Rich Text editor, because I got in the habit of typing the HTML back in 2001 on LJ, and...)

I wonder if the Create Post page is different between
shanaqui and yours,
vintagewitch. I clearly see the toggle between Markdown/Casual HTML, but I also see my Create Post page says something about being a beta version. So that muddles it further.
